I'm Islam. I'm a computer science student at Hunter College who spends more time debugging authentication flows than I'd like to admit. Currently building a browser extension to study how people actually behave when they log in, as part of an NSF-funded research project. When I'm not knee-deep in TypeScript, I'm helping 600+ students survive computer theory and intro to DSA & OOP as a TA, or getting yelled at by a compiler in the Visualization and Virtual Reality Lab.

Software Engineer, REU @ HATlab, Clemson University

  • Developing a browser extension (WXT, Vue 3, TypeScript, Dexie.js) to track user authentication behavior across enterprise and crowdsourcing platforms, supporting NSF SaTC 2.0 research (Award #2521037, $650K) on usable secure authentication.
  • Designing and building a real-time broadcast notification system (Vue 3, Pinia, Supabase Realtime) enabling admins to push instant announcements to all authenticated dashboard users, with role-based access control via Postgres Row-Level Security.
